After working alongside the Order of the Phoenix and some of his friends in the Department of Mysteries, Harry Potter was finally able to convince the wizarding world that the Dark Lord is back, though it resulted in the loss of Sirius Black. Now, as Harry, Ron, Hermione and all the other students and faculty of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry prepare for yet another year of magical education, evil is brewing stronger than ever. Voldemort has gathered his forces and together they are wreaking havoc on both the Muggle and wizard worlds once more. But, even after the destruction of the Millennium Bridge, and the kidnapping of Mr. Ollivander, the Ministry refuses to believe that they can’t handle everything that’s going on. On top of that, Draco Malfoy has now been recruited to personally carry out the Dark Lord’s main plan, triggering suspicions in Harry after seeing Malfoy going through what appears to be an orientation at Borgin & Burke’s.
Blinded.
Fear.Upon arriving at Hogwarts, the students are faced with an unexpected change: Severus Snape is now Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, replaced as Potions teacher by Horace Slughorn, a former professor persuaded out of retirement after a visit from Harry and Dumbledore during the summer. As the school year a progress, rumours travel of the Ministry being corrupted and the discovery is forcing many people into hiding. On top of that, daily Death Eater attacks on the school are weakening the magical barriers that protect it and Hogwarts’ safety is beginning to come into question. There is even talk of Hogwarts closing to let the students go into hiding with their families.
Surprises. The world is slowly finding itself face-to-face with evil once more, and Harry is finding his sixth year at Hogwarts one of the most intense years of his life, partially because of all of the attacks and rumours, and partially because of some new found feelings he’s beginning to discover for Ginny. But these aren't the only surprises that lie in store for him, as anonymous letters start to arrive warning him of the impending danger.
Uncertainty. With increased security at Hogwarts to strengthen the barriers, and the Order of the Phoenix doing everything they can to stop the corruption and the Death Eaters, the questions on everyone’s minds are whether or not Hogwarts will be closed, and if they will ever truly be safe again. Loyalties will be put to the test, and someone’s darkest hour may end up being someone else’s brightest moment. We’re living in mad, dark times; with everything about to change, which side will you be on? [/blockquote]
