overall history:
Athena Black was born into the pureblood, prestigious Black family. she did not ask for it to happen; it just did.Her father and mother, Alphard and Estelle, were filthy rich due to the long history of his honored family and of course the "under-the-table" dealings with the Ministry. The father held an influential position among his coworkers. And all this wealth, history, power and pressure would all pass onto his first born son one day in the future. For that reason Athena had quite a sheltered life, she did rather well in school - her and her younger brother being ravenclaws and of course retrieving their intelligence from their mother. However the black childrens egos and temperment came from their father - who in fact had quite a big ego and a short temperment. naturally this rubbed off onto Athena while she was young and resulted into her having a very crap school record at hogwarts.
She was a dedicated student at Hogwarts and pretty darn good with a wand as well. She recieved very good grades to leave school with and although many of her tutors told her she would do quite well in so many careers she chose to follow her parents wishes of her not to work but to infact await for a pre arranged engagement and to be sold off into the arms of a promising husband in which she would turn into a perfect housewife and sprout a thousand male children. typical purebloods.
Of course she'd lost heart in her life, the arrangement already being made well before hogwarts and Athena knew the very day it had been arranged as she had been there with the young boy - promising themselves to each other. They'd attended hogwarts together but never really interacted. Only time would tell what would happen between them and if Athena would skate down the isle like she had promised her family - or if she would run for it at first sight of a wedding dress.
